The Project

System innovation

The main objective of GreenHive is to introduce a new way of thinking and educating about sustainability with an approach founded on systemic innovation.

Sustainability in a 360° way
Learn to look at the entire system

It's not just about learning concepts or carrying out individual projects.
Rather, it's about learning to look at the entire system, analyzing how all the different parts work together, and how to implement actions that generate value and impact for territories and communities.

Looking at sustainability in a 360-degree way, connecting and integrating vocational schools, students, organizations, territories, and local communities from different countries to work together, share knowledge and needs, create new ideas, solutions, define and develop new skills to face the challenges of sustainability.

The Green Hive Ecosystem
GreenHive: a European network to innovate sustainability education, uniting institutes, students, and communities through active collaboration.
External Stakeholder

Users, academic world, social and private sector participating in the activities of the Green Combs

Green Combs

(Local hubs in vocational training entities)
They provide information, insights, and inspiration on sustainability challenges. They connect people and build a local community around sustainability through events. They offer learning opportunities to students and external stakeholders. They provide opportunities to design innovative solutions through open challenges and workshops.

Green Hive Consortium

It coordinates the ecosystem. Provides capacity development opportunities, hackathons, and contests for the hubs. Offers spaces for knowledge transfer and co-creation activities.

The Platform

Learning and innovation for sustainability

The Green Hive platform is a knowledge platform that connects learning and innovation for sustainability, providing educational resources, co-creation tools, contest management, events, local hub profiles, and an interactive map to locate them

Inside, you will find

A "Resources" section, where the educational materials developed by the project and a Manual for Green Combs coordinators will be collected, open to proposals from the various hubs

A nice map

An interactive map that will show the location of the various hubs.

Tool

A tool for co-creating activities, which will allow the Green Combs to design learning activities for sustainability education together with learners, local stakeholders, and/or other hubs.

Profile

A profile page for each of the 15 local hubs that we have to establish during the project, containing information about the hubs and open opportunities to collaborate on projects and initiatives

Co-creation

A tool for managing contests, which will allow the Green Combs to launch and manage hackathons and competitions on sustainability-related problems.

Events

An "Events" section, where virtual events promoted by the consortium and the Green Combs concerning sustainability education will be collected.

This is our Roadmap

The phases of the GreenHive project

1
Strengthening the conceptual foundations and functional mechanisms of the ecosystem (Methodological Framework, May-October 2023)

During this phase, our goal will be to establish the theoretical bases and best practices on which to build our learning ecosystem.

2
Development of guidelines for the creation and management of the hubs (Toolkit for the creation and management of the Green Combs, November 2023-June 2024)

In this phase, we will develop a detailed manual on how to set up and manage the Green Combs, our local learning hubs.

3
Development of educational resources for the hubs and their training (Educational Resources for the Green Combs, April 2024-January 2025)

During this period, we will create a series of educational resources for our hubs. Additionally, we will provide the necessary training to make the best use of these resources.

4
Development of the platform to host the ecosystem (Green Hive, November 2024-September 2025)

The final phase of our project involves the development of the Green Hive platform. This digital platform will serve as a meeting place for all actors in our ecosystem, facilitating resource sharing, collaboration, and innovation for greater sustainability.
