International Knowledge Café “Training Staff for the Transition to Sustainability"
In the framework of GreenHive project, KEAN-Cell of Alternative Youth Activities organized the online International Knowledge Café "Training Staff for the Transition to Sustainability", on 1st of October 2024.
This online gathering marked a key moment to explore an increasingly relevant topic: the skills and knowledge needed to tackle the transition toward a sustainable future.
The main objective of the event was to explore whether educational institutes (universities, schools, training centres) and company staff are being trained for the transition to sustainability.
For this purpose, educators, trainers, HR professionals or just curious people met and discussed about the sustainability knowledge and skills that employees need today in different jobs.
A collaborative and inspiring dialogue
The Knowledge Café provided a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and deepen the understanding of the sustainability skills that are essential across today’s job sectors. During the event, the 20 participants engaged in discussions about strategies, shared best practices, and tackled common challenges related to sustainability training.
The impact of the Knowledge Café
The event represented an important step forward in fostering an international dialogue on the role of training in the transition to a more sustainable model. The collaborative atmosphere and active participation of professionals from diverse fields emphasized the need to continue working together to spread a sustainability-oriented mindset.
