Press Release #2: 2nd Transnational Project Meeting of the Green Hive Consortium

Athens, Greece - 29-30 May

The GreenHive consortium met in person at the KEAN Offices in Athens to review the results of Work Package 2 (WP2): the GreenHive Methodological Framework.

This WP aimed at producing a Methodological Framework for developing a European sustainability education ecosystem for VET providers, based on system innovation principles. To achieve this, each partner produced a State of the Art and Best Practices” Research Report, which is now available as an ePublication on the website. The report details the key findings and conclusions of the consortium’s research work which assessed the current best practices of knowledge, skills and attitudes defined by the GreenComp Framework in VET institutions of the five countries.

A comparative analysis report concluded the analysis and a digital Database of Best Practices in developing sustainability competences was compiled and is now also available on the GreenHive website.

The final stage of the work package was the production of the “Green Hive: Methodological Framework” ePublication, providing the structural guide to developing a European Green Education ecosystem. Throughout the development of this framework, the methodology of the project became clear, including the requirements, structure, opportunities and key capacities of the GreenHive ecosystem. The framework details the roles within the ecosystem and the connectors between the central platform and the localised hubs including the development principles and functions of the local hubs. The framework also defines the ecosystem and hubs’ activities areas to develop teachers, trainers and learners’ sustainability competences.

WP2 produced the guidelines, canvas and training resources needed to make VET institutions the managing center of networks of local stakeholders for learning, networking and cooperating on sustainability challenges.
All reports, publications and best practices are available on the GreenHive website at GreenHive - The Project Results (greenhiveproject.eu)
